Welcome to Budapest and CoCoCo 2026
Welcome to Budapest, the vibrant capital of Hungary, and the host city for the 4th annual Corvinus Communication Conference (CoCoCo) 2026! As we gather for this exciting event, we will analyze the themes of resistance, rebellion, and reinvention from the communication and media studies perspective. Our conference aims to bring together diverse angles and approaches, creating a dynamic platform for scholars, practitioners, industry professionals, and activists to engage in meaningful dialogue and exchange valuable insights.
About Budapest
Budapest spans 525.2 square kilometers and currently hosts approximately 1.7 million people from diverse backgrounds and countries of origin. The city is divided by the famous Danube River into two main areas: Buda and Pest. Buda is where some of the most iconic and oldest buildings can be found, including Buda Castle and the Fisherman’s Bastion; whereas, Pest is mostly business and residential districts and also where the night lives take place. Budapest blends modern luxuries, historical architecture and nature charms to create a memorable experience for tourists from all over the world.

Reaching the City Center from the Budapest Airport
The fastest and most direct way to get from Budapest Airport to the city center is the 100E Airport Express bus, whose trip can be paid for with a credit card inside the vehicle. It takes about 35–45 minutes and stops at major transport hubs such as Kálvin tér, just a few blocks from Corvinus University of Budapest.
For a quicker and more private option, you can use ride-sharing services like Bolt or Uber. This is especially convenient if you’re traveling in a group. If you’re looking for a budget-friendly choice, the 200E bus is available at the airport. However, it requires a transfer to the M3 metro line to reach the city center, and the total travel time can be up to one hour.
